Esther

So, today I was at the Wired Monk in Langley working on setting up some more for the silent auction that I'll be having there on February 2nd. I'm selling some pictures that I took in Uganda last August. I've seen nothing more than God's complete faithfulness in prepping for this fundraiser. Even in the past few days, when I have not been faithful in trusting God, he encourages me to trust in what he is doing. I was reminded in a very real way this afternoon, that God continues to be at work within this 'little' project. He started this all up and I need to choose to have faith that he'll finish it as He sees fit.....

While in Uganda, I had the chance to help the children from the orphange wash in the afternoon. The orphanage 'mom' (Rose) would set up a basin with a piece of tin beside it and the children would all dress down and wash...no shame because they're children. What began as a simple wash would sometimes turn into a water fight, of which Esther (to the right) was most involved. I think she'd thrown a fistful of water in the air at this point and I got lucky in snapping a shot of her in the act. The others that I've included are some more of my favorites. Each tells it's own story and each story is kinda bittersweet. I absolutely love these pictures.....
