Still whispering.....

I learned some lovely things last year...two of which stick out quite nicely though. I learned that God definitely speaks to me in whispers and also that his speaking means nothing unless I obey what it is that he has told me to do (Holy tongue twister Batman!)

Well, I've felt him whisper twice today: Obeyed him the first time....felt pretty good with myself. Didn't obey the second time.....and realized after I'd disobeyed that it was "God frigging whispering again!"

So, here's the deal: I want to be more receptive and obedient to the whispers.

I read this verse last year.
The Lord said to Elijah, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by."
Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind, there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire.
And after the fire came a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave.....
1 Kings 19:11-13

God speaks.

God is gentle.

God is present.

I like it.
