Two things I know about God

So, I have decided over the past couple of days that God is funny. I have seriously seen God's sense of humor in so many things over the past little while, that I have actually laughed out loud at times. Maybe it's just that he understands me so well and likes to make me laugh (and knows the situations that will make me laugh....which includes MOST situations). And the fact that God has a sense of humor seriously makes me love him all the more. Gotta love a good laugh sometimes! That said, here's another thought.
I have also decided that God does answer prayer. In all honesty, I prayed for something on sunday night and God answered my prayer within a couple of hours.....and it was a pretty direct and heartfelt prayer....and he answered it very directly. And it makes me wonder: Why did he choose to answer this prayer when he did? I've prayed the same prayer (maybe in a different way) before, but he chose not to answer it then. Why now? Why in this moment? How is it different this time? It's been interesting to think of this. God's timing. Why does he choose to lead us to the places when he does, and why does he answer prayers when he does? I guess all in all, I'm just happy that he answered and although it's hard sometimes, I need to choose to have faith that his timing is perfect. But I still do wonder sometimes......
